Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Olathe, Kansas

Schedule & Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am
• Three shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays per unit needs; will be scheduled for July 4th

Engage in meaningful work while building your resume, gaining confidence in critical situations, and perfecting skills such as CRRT, Bipap management, drawing labs, handling chest tubes/PICCs, and independently conducting codes. The opportunity to float across ICU, Med/Surge, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED allows you to collaborate with multifaceted teams and gain indispensable exposure.


Qualifications:

• Active KS RN or Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience
• Proficient in CRRT, Bipap, drawing labs, managing chest tubes and PICCs
• Must be comfortable without a vascular access team, handling own consults, and executing own codes
• Previous experience floating to ICU and inpatient units preferred
• New graduates are not eligible

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert, compassionate nursing care to Stepdown/PCU patients
• Perform thorough assessments, administer medication, and monitor complex conditions
• Float to multiple units and adapt to dynamic patient populations
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain high standards of safety and documentation using EPIC EMR
• Attend required orientation and trainings (KUKC Campus, Olathe orientation, Epic training)
