MISSION SUPPORT SPECIALIST

POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Mission Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for the Savannah Opportunity Center and the corporate headquarters of Goodwill Southeast Georgia. This role is responsible for welcoming guests—including representatives from two partner organizations housed in the building—and ensuring they are directed appropriately. In addition to front desk duties, the Specialist provides administrative support to the Mission Team and may assist other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Front Desk Operations

* Greet and assist all visitors, including staff, clients, and external partners.

* Ensure guests are connected with the appropriate internal or partner representatives.

* Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.

Mission Team Administrative Support

* Coordinate team meetings, including scheduling, room setup, and materials preparation.

* Assist with documentation, data entry, and internal communications.

* Support special projects, events, and initiatives led by the Mission Team.

* On occasion, support the Mission Team with Opportunity Center duties.

Program Triage Support

* Provide occasional triage support for various program offerings, including:

- Opportunity Center services

- Associate Success Program

- Mission-specific training and scholarship programs

Cross-Departmental Support

* Provide occasional administrative assistance to other departments as requested.

* Help with event coordination, filing, and general office tasks.

* Support meeting setup and tear down when needed.

* Provide occasional after-hours support when the schedule dictates.

Accomplishes organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office technology.

* Experience in administrative or front desk roles preferred.

* Familiarity with mission-driven programs and services is a plus.
