Job Description

The System Offices is one of several system members within the Texas A&M University System representing one of the largest systems of higher education in the nation, with a network of 12 universities, a comprehensive health science center, eight state agencies, Texas A&M – Fort Worth and the RELLIS Campus. Job Description Summary:

The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement serves as the primary Advancement Services Officer for the Texas A&M University System. Members of the Texas A&M University System have varying levels of expertise within their organizations. The Assistant Vice Chancellor supports members, as needed, in the execution of their fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship plans.

Responsibilities:- Support System members as needed in their fundraising efforts.

• Assist with donor research.

• Support System members in the creation and execution of stewardship plans.

• Serve as a liaison between System members and OGC to support the execution of gift agreements.

• Advise System members on naming opportunities and policies.

• Create donor reports for the System.

• Work collaboratively with the Chancellor and the System Executive Team on external funding from individual donors, foundations and agencies.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.- Four years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Leadership and accomplishment in the field of development.

• Track record of fundraising success, especially in major gift development and solicitations.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Strong work ethic, personal integrity and strategic thinking.

• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
