Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN
Schedule: Flexible Emergency Department Shifts
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and schedule

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join the Emergency Department of a well-established local hospital serving the surrounding community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys practicing in a collaborative hospital environment and providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients when they need it most. The physician will evaluate and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergency medical conditions and injuries while working closely with nursing, specialty, and hospitalist teams.

Our Emergency Department provides physicians with the opportunity to practice a broad scope of emergency medicine while making a meaningful impact on the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Manage a broad range of medical, surgical, traumatic, and acute-care conditions.
• Perform appropriate emergency procedures and interventions.
• Stabilize critically ill and injured patients and coordinate transfers when necessary.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies.
• Develop appropriate treatment and disposition plans.
• Consult with specialists and coordinate care with hospital-based physicians.
• Provide timely documentation and maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and hospital initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, medical staff requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in [State] or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications as required.
• Emergency Medicine residency training preferred/required.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
