About the Role
- Senior Front Office Java Developer role at Mizuho in a NYC Hybrid setting. Responsible for designing and developing a stock loan platform for equity business. Works with Spring, container technology, caching, IBM MQ, GraphQL, Hazelcast, cloud services, and AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a stock loan platform for equity business
- Senior Java development using Spring framework and container technology
- Implement caching solutions and work with IBM MQ
- Develop and consume GraphQL and REST APIs
- Utilize Hazelcast for distributed caching
- Leverage cloud infrastructure
- Apply AI tools (Copilot, Claude) to generate unit tests and optimize token usage
Required Qualifications
- Senior Java development experience
- Proficiency with Spring framework
- Container technology expertise
- Caching experience (user perspective)
- IBM MQ knowledge
- Equities domain experience
- Stock loan experience preferred
- GraphQL experience (user or developer)
- REST API experience
- Hazelcast experience (user perspective)
- Cloud platform experience
- Strong technical experience in front office environment
- AI experience with token optimization
- Ability to generate unit tests from AI
