Exciting summer opportunities are available for skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) eager to make a meaningful impact in educational settings. This contract role covers summer programs serving the needs of students in multiple classrooms, including those with disabilities. The role is based in the Bath and Hornell areas and offers a chance to work directly with children, supporting their health and educational experience throughout the summer.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active NY State RN or LPN license (required)
• Previous school nursing or pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable with medication administration, nebulizer treatments, and tube feedings
• Ability to adapt in a classroom setting and assist students with diverse medical needs
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as Program Nurse in a classroom setting for students with multiple disabilities
• Administer prescribed medications and perform necessary health interventions (nebulizer use, tube feedings, etc.)
• Monitor student health status and provide emergency or routine care as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records for all students, in alignment with school policies and regulatory standards
• Collaborate effectively with educators, aides, and families to support a healthy learning environment
