Claims Specialist, Primary Casualty

This role involves managing primary claims for AXIS U.S. Primary Casualty policies, investigating, analyzing, and evaluating coverage and liability for third‑party primary casualty claims. What You Will Do Assess claims within a specialized area to determine coverage, liability, and settlement value. Evaluate coverage and claim exposure, determine appropriate actions, and pursue claims until resolution. Set accurate and timely claim reserves and refer to Claim Manager where necessary. Manage the lifecycle of a claim from notification to closure, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Review relevant policies, validate coverage, and analyze policy wordings, escalating issues for further resolution. Draft coverage positions for review and approval by Claim Manager. Work closely with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and brokers to maintain a premier claim service and escalating issues as appropriate. About You Recognized as a subject matter expert in claims within their area of specialization. Ability to interpret and apply policy provisions accurately in various claim scenarios. Capable of coordinating with teams to review and enhance claims processes effectively. Experience managing the complete lifecycle of a claim with attention to detail and accuracy. Skill in collaborating with external parties to gather information and resolve claims. Commitment to continuous professional development in claims management. Ability to implement strategies that improve claims handling efficiency and customer satisfaction. Excellent documentation skills for audit support. Role Factors This role requires in-office presence 3 days per week and adherence to AXIS licensing requirements. What We Offer Base salary range: $75,000 to $130,000, based on experience and location. Competitive target incentive compensation tied to performance.
