TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred. License: NM license can pend at the time of submission. Certifications: ACLS BLS NIH PALS TNCC (Must have TNCC before submission) Must-Have: Travel experience strongly preferred; however, candidates with 2+ years Level 1 experience may be considered. Description: No holiday RTO for December starts. Candidates must work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day for holiday pay. Travelers should expect their assignments will primarily include admitted patients. No RQI certifications accepted. Approximately 60%-80% of the emergency department is admitted, and many of the rooms are designated for holding patients. Medication administration, including IV medication via the seven medication rights, is expected. Document and communicate clinical findings effectively. Ratios are 1:5 in the emergency department. Weekend shifts will be scheduled as needed. Weekend days constitute Saturday and Sunday; weekend nights are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Floating to Adult PCUs is an expectation based on staffing needs. Travelers are expected to be flexible in meeting facility needs. Candidates must have trauma/resuscitation experience. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 170-200 visits. Number of rooms is 53 with a total of 68 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and radiology. A commitment to patient care excellence is essential. Travelers will complete compliance documentation prior to the start. Preferred candidate experiences include Level I trauma and high acuity patient care.
