DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING
Caribbean | $140,000 - $160,000 USD per Annum | Discretionary Bonus up to 30%

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are searching for a commercially driven and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the property's sales and marketing function, maximize revenue across all segments, and ensure an aggressive, results-focused approach from the entire sales team.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a senior leadership role for a proven Director who excels in both strategy and execution, with a strong track record in luxury and independent hotel environments. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the Caribbean market, OTAs, consortia, digital distribution, and the full group and transient mix. Caribbean experience is strongly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies targeting key segments including corporate, group, leisure, extended stay, destination dining, and experiential travel niches
• Lead, train, and hold accountable all sales and marketing team members, ensuring SMART plans are in place and performance metrics are consistently met
• Own the property's digital marketing strategy end-to-end, including website performance, OTAs, metasearch, SEO, paid media, social media, and online reputation management
• Direct digital distribution and content strategy, leveraging performance analytics to optimize visibility, conversion, and channel ROI
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consortia, wholesalers, travel advisors, DMOs, government tourism boards, and key feeder market partners
• Represent the property at regional trade shows, FAM trips, and industry events to drive visibility and partnerships
• Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all channels and guest touchpoints
• Collaborate with the General Manager and revenue management team to align sales efforts with rate strategy, yield management, and overall property objectives
• Forecast revenue and expenses, provide regular performance reporting to ownership and the executive team, and hold external agencies accountable to ROI

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing in a luxury hotel or resort; minimum 2 to 3 years in a Director-level role is required; this is not a role for a first-time Director
• Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience with demonstrated results in a luxury, lifestyle, or independent hotel environment
• Experience with both branded and independent hotels supported by a corporate or management company is strongly preferred
• Deep knowledge of OTAs, consortia, metasearch, digital distribution, group and transient segments, and Caribbean market dynamics
• Proficiency in hospitality and sales tools including Lighthouse, Power BI, Demand360, and commercial software such as Delphi, Revinate, and CoStar
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue management strategy, rate optimization, and business mix analysis
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with a high work ethic and self-driven approach
• Caribbean experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to travel as needed for sales calls, trade shows, and client engagements
