Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience License: NC or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: - Required charting experience with EPIC - Open availability is mandatory, including every other weekend - Floating between High Risk and Labor and Delivery Description: Position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Interviews will be conducted virtually. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NRP. Prior charge experience is preferred. Patient ratios are 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends. The unit focuses on both high-risk and low-risk patients. Skills required include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, and postpartum care. Candidates should be able to assist in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Experience caring for antepartum and postpartum high-risk patients is needed. The facility averages 350-450 deliveries per month. Interdisciplinary support includes teams such as IV therapy, respiratory services, and social services. High-risk and high-acuity patients will be managed, including the use of specific medication protocols. Documentation will be completed using the Epic charting system. Candidates must comply with attendance policies during the contract period. Travelers may have a limited number of absences during the contract. Modules for training and compliance will be required at various intervals. Overall, the role demands flexibility, a strong clinical background in Labor and Delivery, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
