Job Overview

We are seeking a Services Pre-Sales Consultant to support the qualification, scoping, pricing, and execution of IT services engagements. This is a client-facing role that works closely with sales teams, technical resources, delivery teams, and strategic partners to translate client requirements into accurate, executable Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and service quotes .

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT services pre-sales, technical consulting, sales engineering, or services coordination, with strong skills in discovery, solution scoping, commercial evaluation, stakeholder management, and client-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery and sales engagements to gather business and technical requirements, define scope, identify risks, and determine appropriate delivery approaches.
• Develop, review, and manage client-facing SOWs, proposals, and service quotes .
• Ensure scope accuracy, pricing integrity, margin considerations, and adherence to internal approval processes.
• Serve as a key Services Pre-Sales resource, coordinating sales, technical, delivery, and business stakeholders throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
• Support solution development, client presentations, negotiations, and opportunity progression.
• Coordinate with strategic partners on service delivery, estimates, SOWs, commercial terms, and engagement requirements.
• Evaluate partner estimates and proposed delivery models to ensure alignment with client requirements.
• Coordinate service order processing, procurement requirements, invoicing needs, and handoff of approved engagements to project management, delivery, finance, and partner teams.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, SOW, proposal, and engagement documentation.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and approval requirements throughout the services engagement lifecycle.
• Improve and standardize repeatable pre-sales and services processes.
• Ensure confidentiality, document control, and compliance requirements are maintained.

What This Role Is Not

• This is not a quota-carrying sales role , although the position directly supports services revenue and opportunity progression.
• This is not a project management role , although the position is responsible for coordinating the transition of approved engagements to delivery teams.
• The role coordinates technical resources but does not serve as the final technical authority. Appropriate technical resources will review and validate proposed solutions before finalizing SOWs or solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT services pre-sales, sales engineering, technical consulting, services coordination, or a related client-facing services role.
• Demonstrated experience leading discovery and defining service scope.
• Experience developing SOWs, proposals, and service quotes .
• Understanding of pricing, delivery models, and services engagement processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, delivery teams, clients, and partners.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and business applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, client-ready documentation.
• Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and potential delivery challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT services, managed services, consulting, or technology solutions environments.
• Understanding of the end-to-end IT services engagement lifecycle .
• Experience coordinating strategic technology partners.
• Experience developing services proposals, SOWs, and pricing estimates.
• Experience with CRM, quoting, and services management platforms .
• Familiarity with order processing, forecasting, procurement, and operational execution.

You should be comfortable leading discovery conversations, translating requirements into clearly defined service engagements, developing SOWs and proposals, and coordinating multiple stakeholders through opportunity closure and delivery handoff.
