Outside Sales Representative – Industrial/MRO
Our client is a well-established organization operating within the industrial and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) space, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. They are seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join their team. This role is a unique blend of account management and new business development, offering the opportunity to inherit an existing book of business while also making a direct impact through new client acquisition.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow an inherited portfolio of existing accounts from a promoted sales representative
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current clients to ensure retention and satisfaction
Actively prospect, identify, and close new business opportunities within the industrial/MRO market
Balance a relationship-driven account management approach with a proactive hunter mentality
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by leveraging industry knowledge and product expertise
Qualifications
Prior experience within the industrial and/or MRO industry is required
Demonstrated success in outside sales, account management, or business development
Proven ability to manage an existing book of business while simultaneously pursuing new opportunities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a proactive approach to sales
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role
