The primary focus of this role is to perform forklift operations, assist with shipment preparation, and support inventory management to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. The position involves working closely with warehouse staff to ensure safety, organization, and efficient handling of merchandise. Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment, including CLAMP attachments, to prepare customer shipments and support loading and unloading trucks.
- Assist drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks.
- Support inventory management by advising supervisors on stock levels to avoid out-of-stock situations.
- Distribute book reorders to branch picking aisles.
- Provide backup for shipping and receiving functions, including loading and unloading containers.
- Return merchandise to proper storage locations, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
- Assist warehouse associates with various operational tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager or supervisor.
- Attend scheduled work hours regularly and reliably.
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Skills in operating CLAMP equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle merchandise safely in a warehouse environment.
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to work well with team members and follow safety procedures.
- Forklift with CLAMP attachment
- Ability to handle up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Physical ability to load, unload, and move merchandise in a warehouse setting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
