Quality Mold Approval Technician (Nights)

Becton Dickinson seeks a Quality Mold Approval Technician for night shifts at the Sumter, South Carolina facility. The role involves conducting mold approvals, dimensional inspections, and validation activities on injection-molded medical device components while maintaining precision measurement equipment and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform mold approvals on new and reworked injection molds
- Conduct dimensional analysis and inspections on molded parts using precision equipment
- Maintain dimensional history records and prepare inspection reports
- Assist with validation activities including DOE, ISIR, and qualification runs
- Program automated measurement equipment to establish inspection routines
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with injection molding processes and measurement tools
- Experience with rubber components manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
- Vocational or technical training in blueprint reading and computer skills (desired)
