Banquet Bartender- River Roast

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Food & Beverage Service

• Follow all state, federal, and corporate liquor laws, including ID checks and responsible service to prevent serving minors or intoxicated guests.
• Set up assigned bars; stock beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies.
• Prepare and store fresh garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality.
• Greet guests courteously and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Take and process drink orders; mix and present beverages using standard recipes and portion control.
• Monitor guest intoxication and act according to training and liquor laws.
• Handle cash and charges accurately; complete vouchers, deposits, and secure bank.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas; follow all sanitation and safety standards.
• Arrange bottles and glassware for an attractive display.
• Assist with tableside wine service; wash and sanitize stemware.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and follow event timelines.
• Ensure a welcoming atmosphere and respond quickly to guest needs.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry 25+ lbs for extended periods.
• Comfortable in fast?paced, high?volume environments.
• Reliable, punctual, and team?oriented.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and event?based scheduling.
• ServSafe and BASSET required.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk 610 hours per shift, often on hard surfaces.
• Move quickly and safely through crowded event spaces.
• Maintain steady hands and fine motor control when serving.
• Safely handle glassware, utensils, and service items.

Lifting & Carrying

• Lift and transport trays, equipment, and supplies up to 25+ lbs.
• Move items such as chafing dishes, plates, beverage tubs, and dcor.

Reaching, Bending & Physical Activity

• Bend, stoop, reach, and kneel frequently while setting rooms or clearing tables.
• Balance large trays at or above shoulder height.
• Push/pull carts, linen bins, or portable bars.

Schedule Flexibility

• Work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work extended or double shifts during large or multi?day events.
