This person will be accountable for repairing vehicles and their ongoing maintenance for our loyal customers. The ideal candidate will have previous automotive experience working with a variety of engines, be a reliable employee, exhibit teamwork, and add value to our organization.Responsibilities:Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership;Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, specifications, and able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.Perform routine maintenance – tasks include oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front end alignments, inspections, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations.Conduct diagnostic procedures – includes extensive diagnostic inventory to determine the sources of customer's problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.Manage paperwork – maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records.Maintain cleanliness - ensure the work environment is clean and safe to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.Qualifications:At least 1 year of experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in both front and back of parts counter is preferredStrong communication and customer relations skillsStrong math and reading comprehension skillsGeneral understanding of various functions of a distribution centerAbility to lift 60 lbs and work at heights of 25 feet or moreAbility to use a forklift or willingness to be certified within 90 days of hire18 years of age or olderWarehouse experience and material handling equipment experience preferredComputer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software programHigh school diploma or equivalent degree preferredValid driver's license and a clean driving recordBenefits:Medical, dental & vision insurance401k plan w/ matching contributionsPaid vacation, holiday, and sick payGrowth opportunitiesComplete paid training programs for rapid advancement including periodic job reviewsEmployee vehicle purchase plansFamily culture with organized structureLong term job securityAssociate discounts on vehicles, service and parts purchasesEmployee recognition programsLeading competitive payWe are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
