GroundskeeperThe groundskeeper maintains and landscapes campus lawns, planting beds, wooded areas, trees and fields. They inspect the grounds to ensure conditions meet institutional grounds keeping standards.Scheduled Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMKey Job Responsibilities:Implements and monitors chemical and fertilizer programsMaintains clean and clear lawns, walkways, roadways, and parking lots to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and iceConstructs lawn and landscaping projects including soil grading, seeding, and soddingIdentifies and acts to remedy plant diseases and insect damageInstalls, propagates, and maintains the health of new and existing plants and landscape using a variety of vehicles and equipmentDepartment: Facilities ManagementCompensation: $17.00/hourRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent GEDHold and maintain a valid Driver's LicensePhysical Demands: Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding and rooftop access stairs. Required to carry tools and parts often weighing 50 pounds or more. Use ropes and pulleys to hoist tools and parts to installation elevations. Ability to tolerate working in areas where temperature may exceed 85 degrees of atmospheric temperature, or may drop below 20 degrees of atmospheric temperature. Proper and safe tool utilization requires dexterity and mobility of hands and arms.
