Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse Night Shift Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing skilled nursing care within the medical-surgical specialty, focusing on post-surgical and neuro patient populations. The role requires independent practice in a fast-paced clinical setting, ensuring patient safety and well-being through comprehensive assessment and intervention.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, BLS certification via AHA, RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, 1 year of related nursing experience.
Responsibilities: Provide routine and complex care, assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, document patient information, and educate patients and families. Ensure care is aligned with clinical standards and policies.
Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float as needed, working across various units. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of approximately 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing. Flexibility regarding weekend shifts and on-call duties may be required. EPIC experience is a plus.
