Job Purpose

The Commodity Sourcing Specialist - Metallic is an individual contributor role that collaborates with suppliers for assigned items, supplies, and/or materials for assigned group or platform. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the Metallic commodity, oversee supplier selection across multiply platforms, lead long-term contract negotiations and launch targets on time. Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs. Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations. Ensure suppliers can meet forecast demand. May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing costs for new products. Continuously explore the cost improvement ideas through VA/VE in close coordination with suppliers. May participate in design and/or technical reviews. Must understand technical aspect of metallic parts should be able to convey the requirements to suppliers. Actively interviews the current and new suppliers to maintain a competitive supply base for the assigned commodity, may select, recommend, and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Resourcing parts strategically to obtain the best total cost, quality, and delivery for the plants. Manage key supplier relationships, Conduct Monthly/Quarterly business reviews with the key suppliers and generate ideas of cost improvement through regular involvement /participation from suppliers. Other related duties as assigned.

Experience Required

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. (Engineering preferred) A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications This role requires a deep understanding of metallic processes, materials, and market trends to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The candidate should have in depth knowledge of metallic market regionally and globally. With experience in purchasing metallic, the candidate should be capable of performing techno-commercial analysis of metallic parts, tooling cost and methodologies to be used. The candidate should be able to Provide support with his expertise on metallic processes, within the company to other buyers across the commodity team.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is $87,000 - $133,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
