Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Hilton Garden Inn Asheville South is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our award-winning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about cleanliness, team development, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. As the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to oversee daily housekeeping operations while remaining actively involved in cleaning guestrooms and supporting the team on the floor. This is a hands‑on leadership role that requires leading by example and ensuring every guest experiences a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. You will play a key leadership role in supporting the housekeeping team, maintaining Hilton brand standards, and driving exceptional quality throughout the hotel. What You Will Be Doing Support daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. Clean guest rooms and assist with laundry operations as needed to support daily business demands and ensure guestrooms are ready for arriving guests. Lead by example by actively assisting the housekeeping team during high occupancy periods, staffing shortages, and busy turnover days. Oversee and assign daily tasks for Room Attendants and Laundry Attendants, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency across all areas. Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive workplace culture. Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Conduct daily room inspections and quality audits using the Innspector App. Ensure guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, fitness center, lobby, outdoor spaces, dining area, and back‑of‑house areas consistently meet Hilton brand standards. Monitor productivity, cleanliness scores, and guest satisfaction metrics while implementing action plans for continuous improvement. Manage housekeeping inventory, supplies, and linen levels to ensure efficient operations. Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a guest‑first mindset. Maintain a safe, organized, and well‑maintained work environment. Serve as the department leader in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment required. Previous leadership experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, or similar role preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards. Computer proficiency and ability to utilize housekeeping software and inspection platforms. Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive accountability within the team. Must pass a background check. Valid driver's license and ability to operate the hotel courtesy shuttle. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
