Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Join a Birthing Center as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment working 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week. The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn transition. Utilizing critical thinking and independent clinical judgment, the RN will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to mothers and infants in a dynamic birthing environment.

Responsibilities include performing maternal and fetal assessments, monitoring labor progression, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, providing immediate newborn care and stabilization at delivery, caring for postpartum mothers and infants, administering medications and IV therapies, monitoring maternal and newborn recovery, educating families on postpartum and newborn care, coordinating care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, supervising CNAs, LPNs, and support staff, responding to obstetric emergencies, documenting patient care and outcomes accurately, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and delivering safe, high-quality care throughout the labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn continuum.
