Senior Tax Accountant

Tang Industries, Inc. (“TII”) is a privately held, family-owned global holding company headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, with interests in metal processing, energy, real estate, pharmaceuticals, and other business sectors. TII and its affiliates, including National Material LP (“NMLP”), the largest operating group within TII, collectively function as the family office of an organization with more than 60 years of operating history across multiple industries. The TII group manages a diversified portfolio of wholly owned operating companies, strategic joint ventures, and financial investments. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation/review of combined and separate state tax returns, including apportionment workpaper creation/review, computation of blended state tax rate, trend analysis, etc. Gather data for income tax return preparation & other reporting requirements, as necessary. Prepare federal and state extensions. Assist in the calculation and preparation/review of quarterly provisions and estimated tax payments. Assist in the calculation/review of return to provision adjustments. Assist in calculations of book/tax differences required for completion of tax returns. Maintain GAAP and tax depreciation books. Sales/use tax, GST/HST/PST tax, and property tax reporting and audit defense. Review, research and assist with correspondence from taxing authorities. Stay abreast of the latest changes in tax law and implement these changes into the workpapers to facilitate preparation of return and provision process. Research technical issues as needed and present conclusions to management. Continuous process improvement through recommending and implementing efficiencies. Effectively manage multiple priorities to meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 3-5 year(s) of partnership and corporate income tax experience. CPA certification is required. Use of various tax software applications such as OneSource, Corptax, ProSystems fx, Sage FAS, etc. Experience in deferred tax accounting and knowledge of US GAAP disclosure requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting systems. Operates with unquestioned integrity. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong technical knowledge related to the preparation and review of US federal and state income tax returns. #J-18808-Ljbffr
