Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician in Detroit, MI. As a Tool and Die Technician you will work with Transfer Schuler Presses and tooling in the robotic welding assembly area. If you have a passion for working with tools and dies, along with a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!
ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs on transfer Schuler press dies ranging from 80 ton to 2000 ton presses
Troubleshoot, do tryouts, weld, grind, spot, fix cams, replace parts, etc.
Conduct tool, die, and mold repairs to maintain production efficiency.
Read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications and requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping.
- Proven experience in die repair.
- Strong tool, die, and mold repair skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
