Substation Journeyman

A Substation Journeyman performs highly skilled, journeyman-level electrical work in the operation, construction, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electric substations, and other related electrical and mechanical equipment associated with high voltage electric substations.

Requirements

Leadership skills

Good analytical and problem solving, verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Valid CDL Driver's License.

Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED.

Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program and possession of a valid card or certificate of Substation Journeyman or Journeyman Lineman status

Considerable experience performing journeyman-level high voltage substation duties with an electric utility or other entity operating and maintaining high voltage substation equipment.
