Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Application Programmer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an Application Programmer III to join their team. As an Application Programmer III, you will be part of the Enterprise Finance Technology department supporting the Business Financial Office Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Jersey City, NJ

What's the Job?

• Develop enhancements to existing functionality within the FinMan sub-ledger system.
• Support and troubleshoot system components to ensure operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements.
• Work closely with Product Owners and business analysts to deliver stories and obtain sign-off.
• Contribute to application design, regression testing automation, and efficiency initiatives within an agile environment.

What's Needed?

• Proficiency in Oracle 12c or above, with strong experience coding PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
• Good object-oriented design skills, architectural understanding, and knowledge of design patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with global teams.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and uphold best practices and standards.
• Experience in SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting.
