The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Accounting and Payroll Manager who can own our internal accounting functions and roll up their sleeves to support our payroll operations team. This is not a corporate bureaucracy job. You will have real responsibility from day one and work directly with company leadership. What You Will Own on the Accounting SideDay to day bookkeeping and general ledger management in QuickBooks OnlineMonthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reviewAccounts payable and accounts receivable managementMonthly financial statements including P&L and balance sheetCommission reporting and payment processingSales tax filing and paymentBudget tracking and variance reportingAnnual 1099 processing and W-9 managementCoordination with external CPA and insurance agentsBanking functions including account reconciliation and treasury supportThird party bank certifications and year end financial reportingWhat You Will Support on the Payroll SideAssist payroll processors with client research and troubleshootingSupport multi-state payroll tax administration using isolvedAssist with quarterly and year end payroll tax processes including 941s, 940s, W-2s, and state filingsProvide backup support for ACH processing and positive pay functions with dual controlsSupport client billing coordination across isolved and QuickBooksWhat We Are Looking For5 or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a service business or payroll company environmentStrong QuickBooks skills - you need to be comfortable owning the books, not just entering dataPayroll industry experience is a strong plus; isolved experience is a bonus but not requiredWorking knowledge of multi-state payroll tax is preferredSomeone who understands banking operations and is comfortable with treasury management functionsHigh attention to detail - you are handling client funds and financial reporting, accuracy is non-negotiableAbility to work independently and manage your own workload without being micromanagedAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
