Mechanical Engineer

Job Description The Naval Nuclear Laboratory at our Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory site located in Niskayuna, New York is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will review mechanical and plumbing calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications for building construction and site infrastructure projects. Other duties include performing construction inspections, participating in production meetings, developing and reviewing construction cost estimates, performing evaluations, and interfacing with facility sponsors, architect & engineering firms, and contractors. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science field; or Currently an Advanced Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company. Pay Range $86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually. Salary information provided is a general guideline only.
