In accordance with the Agency’s mission, Code of Ethics, policy and procedures, State of MI licensing and COA standards, the RespectED Community Program Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for coordinating the RespectED Program, with fidelity to the Love Notes curriculum, within Vista Maia’s Community-based setting. The RespectED Community Program Coordinator works with the RespectED Community Program Manager to provide administrative support to the program for system-involved youth as they learn critical healthy relationship skills. The RespectED Community Program Coordinator is a federal grant-contracted position through the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Relationships, Education, Advancement, and Development for Youth for Life (READY4Life) Program.
TASKS OF THE POSITION
• In accordance with the Agency’s mission, Code of Ethics, policy and procedures, State of MI licensing, COA standards, and ACF federal grant requirements, plans and organizes work to meet all job requirements.
• Works cooperatively and in collaboration with agency personnel and representatives of the other agencies.
• Attends, supports, and helps facilitate all RespectED sessions, led by Program Manager.
• Supports participant recruitment, totaling at least 130 youth per year at 90% completion rate.
• Tracks attendance, including confirming availability and assisting with client access barriers, like facilitating transportation assistance (distributing bus passes, coordinating Uber/Lyft rides).
• Schedules/facilitates one-on-one make-up sessions with youth as needed.
• Maintains, updates, and distributes program materials (e.g., participant booklets, supplies, etc.)
• Completes all reports and tracks expenses and budgets related to the READY4Life federal grant.
• Works alongside other RespectED staff to share successes, challenges, etc.
• Assists in coordinating other after-school activities as requested.
• Performs all other related tasks and duties as assigned.
****KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES ****
• Possesses a working knowledge of general therapeutic services for system-involved youth.
• Oral and written fluency for regular communication with staff, off-campus partners, and leaders.
• Strong listening skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to foster a supportive working environment.
• Demonstrated excellent computer skills, with advanced skills in Excel preferred.
• Works as a team player as well as independently.

****QUALIFICATION (EDUCATION/TRAINING) ****
Required :
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of experience working with youth or at-risk teens in any capacity.
• Experience with facilitating group activities in any capacity.
** Preferred ** :
• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or equivalent degree.
• Experience with healthy relationship curricula.
