Job Summary: We are seeking an attorney to join our growing law firm in Columbia, SC that is interested in expanding the firm's insurance defense practice. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal representation to our clients. Job Description: Direct and lead files, provide initial analysis, develop case strategy, conduct discovery, take depositions, draft motions, attend hearings and negotiate settlements Associates will also be able to assist with and lead trials. Qualifications: Candidates should have at least one (1) year of civil litigation experience with defense experience strongly preferred Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Self-starter who is highly motivated to perform excellent work Candidates must be current members of the South Carolina Bar in good standing or be in the process of being sworn in imminently Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and an existing portfolio of clients.
