Mechanical Engineer

Our client, an industry-leading innovator in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. This hands-on role requires a BSME and 3+ years of experience with manufacturing equipment to lead system installations and drive engineering projects forward.

responsibilities:

Provide hands-on mechanical support on the manufacturing floor during the construction, installation, debugging, and startup of automated systems.
Supervise and direct internal technicians, maintenance staff, and external contractors through all phases of equipment conversion and testing.
Review, modify, and finalize engineering documentation, including complete drawing packages, machine specifications, and installation checklists.
Procure essential materials and assess the condition of existing equipment to ensure compatibility with new installation plans.
Translate engineering requirements into effective process and equipment designs while actively troubleshooting and ensuring job site safety.
