Integration Engineer

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develop and maintain integrations using Boomi or equivalent iPaaS platforms, supporting logistics workflows and B2B data exchanges.

• Build and support APIs and connectors for shipment tracking, order lifecycle events, and customer notifications using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Participate in the full integration lifecycle — from requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

• Implement error handling, alerting, and workflow logic for reliable, high-availability operations.

• Work with Kafka and/or other event streaming technologies for real-time, event-driven logistics processes.

• Work with MFT tools and understand how they connect to iPaaS platforms via AS2, SFTP, and similar protocols.

• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on CI/CD workflows and deployment automation.

• Engage with business and client-facing groups to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions.

• Write and maintain technical documentation and SOPs to ensure knowledge continuity.

• Support agile delivery by participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives using Jira or similar tools.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience using Boomi or equivalent iPaaS tools (MuleSoft, Workato, Cleo, etc.).

• Familiarity with MFT tools and how they connect to iPaaS platforms — AS2, SFTP, etc.

• Some exposure to Kafka and/or other event streaming technologies.

• Working knowledge of Groovy and/or JavaScript scripting languages.

• Experience integrating with REST and SOAP APIs.

• Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.

• Understanding of X12 EDI standards: 204, 990, 214, 997, 304, 301, 315, 110, 210, 310.

• Familiarity with JSON, XML, and CSV document formats.

• Experience or familiarity with TMS applications such as TMF, E2Open, TMW, BlueYonder, etc.

• Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

• 1+ years of experience in Transportation or Freight Forwarding industries (preferred).

• Good written communication skills for technical documentation and SOPs.

• Ability to manage multiple integration tasks simultaneously with guidance.

• Experience working with business and client-facing stakeholders.

• Experience working in an Agile environment.

• Proficiency with Jira or other Agile project management tools.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

• Preference for candidates who have continued to upgrade their skills through education, training, and certifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Boomi Developer Certification or in progress.

• Exposure to Microsoft Development Stack (.NET, C#, Azure, SQL Server).

• Background in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.

• Eagerness to troubleshoot and deliver high-quality, resilient integration solutions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.

• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

• Job will require regular and punctual attendance, as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location for meetings and events as needed.
