Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational assessments.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-lasting improvements in communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage in one-on-one therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Work in partnership with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide essential educational support to patients and families to encourage consistent progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional evaluations and therapy interventions for inpatients, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout their journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
