Operations Analyst

The Operations Analyst supports plant operations by compiling and analyzing operational data, preparing and processing purchase orders, managing invoices, and maintaining accurate inventory and documentation. This role works closely with the operations team to keep production and facility activities running smoothly and efficiently while contributing to continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Compile information, organize and interpret data, and produce daily and weekly operational reports using SAP and Microsoft Excel.

• Identify inefficiencies in operations and recommend opportunities for process improvement.

• Prepare purchase orders for plant expenditures and ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.

• Submit vendor invoices for payment and support timely and accurate invoice processing.

• Order and maintain inventory of plant supplies to support ongoing operations.

• Provide general office support, including greeting and assisting guests and, when needed, reviewing, sorting, and distributing incoming mail.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date customer and vendor files.

• Process and create purchase orders for operations in alignment with company procedures.

• File all closed work orders, purchase orders, invoices, and miscellaneous operations documents in an accurate and timely manner.

• Answer questions and assist in resolving issues related to operations and inventory.

• Analyze finished goods and raw material inventory needs to ensure all necessary arrangements are made to meet production requirements.

• Assist with inventory management, logistics support, and month-end closing activities.

• Recognize, understand, and actively participate in the company's quality and safety initiatives, including adherence to policies, objectives, and work-related instructions.

• Assist supervisors and act as a liaison between operations and other functions as needed.

• Work side by side with the operations team to keep production and facility activities running smoothly and efficiently.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support plant operations.

Essential Skills

• Very strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and report generation.

• Experience using SAP for operational or financial data, reporting, or purchase order processing (strongly preferred).

• Proven ability to perform data analysis and interpret operational metrics.

• Experience with invoice processing and purchase order creation.

• Ability to support plant operations with a wide range of administrative tasks.

• Strong organizational skills for managing files, documents, and records.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and documentation.

• Strong communication skills to answer questions and assist with operational and inventory-related issues.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

• Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with financial or operational analysis in a plant or manufacturing environment.

• Background in logistics support and inventory management.

• Familiarity with month-end closing activities related to operations or inventory.

• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and contribute ideas for improvement.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Work Environment

The Operations Analyst works onsite in an office environment within a plant setting, closely integrated with the operations team. The role involves frequent interaction with production, logistics, and administrative staff to ensure that facility and production activities run smoothly and efficiently. Work is primarily performed using computer-based tools such as Microsoft Excel and SAP, along with standard office equipment. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millington, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
