Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 4x10hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Sep 14, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1 year of experience and an active AZ OT license in hand prior to start Details Acute care hospital setting Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM Daily caseload of 8-11 patients No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements Cerner charting system used, experience preferred Business casual dress code 40 hours per week with facility allowed up to 6 call-offs during the 13-week assignment Requirements Active AZ OT license required in hand prior to start (license required if applicable) AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience required Manual therapy certification preferred Cerner charting experience preferred Skills in acute care, ADLs, adaptive equipment, discharge planning, and patient/family education Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and general acute/chronic disorder populations preferred First-time travelers accepted Additional Information Provide occupational therapy services across a range of conditions including CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, amputee, orthopedic, and neurological cases Perform evaluations, assessments, reassessments, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation Conduct fall/risk assessments and standardized assessments Assist with community re-entry and home assessment planning Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols RTO must be approved by the facility in advance No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation Candidates must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays Local candidates accepted Free parking available on site American Traveler Job ID P-746945.
