Radiologic Technologist - Rad Tech

The Radiologic Technologist assists in providing x-ray care for the surgical patient in our Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Possess the physical and mental health to be able to walk and stand for extended periods, pushing/pulling of equipment and patients via wheelchair/gurney. Potential exists for exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other hazardous materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be utilized as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to procedural requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date radiation exposure logs and compliance records.
• Support physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other team members during surgical procedures.
• Manage the use, tracking, and maintenance of radiation badges.
• Ensure radiologic equipment, including X-ray machines and lead aprons, is clean, functional, and properly maintained.

Qualifications

• At least one year of operating room experience, specifically using C-arms during interventional pain management procedures.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT registration and state license to perform diagnostic imaging.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of operating room protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency in the use of radiologic equipment and radiation safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and professionalism when interacting with patients and team members.
• Physical stamina to perform duties requiring frequent movement and light lifting.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT registration and state license to perform diagnostic imaging.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of operating room experience, specifically using C-arms during interventional pain management procedures.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally stand or walk. Ability to assist patients with mobility and positioning. Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds. Necessary visual acuity and perception needed for detailed work. Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels.
