Senior Accountant

Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: Oshkosh Office – Oshkosh, WI 54901 Salary Range: $80,000.00/year Job Overview Clarity Care is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with varying abilities so they can lead independent, fulfilling lives within their communities. The Accounting Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, overseeing budgeting, rate development, financial reporting, and auditing. Responsibilities Lead the accounting close by preparing monthly financial statements and ensuring accurate journal entries. Develop the annual Operating and Capital Budgets to meet the organization’s financial goals. Educate management on budget variances and proper accounting treatment. Supervise the Payroll function. Direct, supervise and evaluate select Accounting & Payroll staff to meet organizational and staff needs. Develop rates for payment related to various services, including Client Care and Supervision, and Room & Board. Assess software needs, organizational alignment and efficiency findings in collaboration with the finance team. Maintain the General Ledger and related reports, including the Chart of Accounts and F9 reports. Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports at the request of Executive Leadership. Interpret complex financial analyses, develop conclusions, and make recommendations. Manage the Annual Financial Audit to ensure accuracy and compliance. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in accounting; CMA/CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, including experience with developing Operating and Capital Budgets and preparing and analyzing financial statements. Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices and supervisory experience. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook. Knowledge of General Ledger applications; experience with NetSuite preferred. Valid WI driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards; proof of auto insurance required. Must pass periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks, including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks and checks of previous states of residence.
