Project Engineer - Custom Machinery

An established manufacturer of industrial processing equipment is expanding its engineering team and seeking a Project Engineer who enjoys connecting customers, engineering, and the shop floor to bring complex machinery projects to life. What You’ll Do Turn customer requirements into technical scopes, equipment layouts, schedules, and project execution plans. Manage multiple projects while tracking budgets, materials, milestones, and open issues. Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, sales, and field service to keep projects moving. Serve as the primary contact for project updates, customer drawing approvals, and changes. Coordinate equipment testing, inspections, and documentation during fabrication. Support installation, startup, and commissioning at customer facilities, traveling as needed. Identify project risks early and help improve project processes. What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, applications engineering, sales engineering, or capital equipment manufacturing. AutoCAD proficiency and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and competing priorities. Strong communication skills and experience coordinating with customers and manufacturing teams. Willingness to travel for customer meetings, installations, and commissioning.
