Position Highlights

• Specialty: Orthopedic Surgeon
• Open to experienced orthopedic surgeons or new graduates
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of completing residency
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

• Candidate Skills:
• Broad-based orthopedic surgery practice with a diverse mix of operative and non-operative cases.
• Opportunity to perform procedures including:
• Total joint replacement
• Reverse shoulder arthroplasty
• Complex fracture and trauma care
• Sports medicine procedures
• Knee reconstruction and ACL repair
• Foot and ankle surgery
• General Orthopedic Procedures
• Opportunity to develop subspecialty interests based on training and community need
• Collaboration with primary care providers, emergency medicine physicians, rehabilitation services, and specialty consultants
• Strong referral network throughout the St. Lawrence Region

• Position Location:
• Canton-Potsdam Hospital (primary)
• Massena Hospital (secondary)

• Schedule:
• Full-time position (4 days per week)
• Balanced mix of clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities
• Dedicated operating room block time available, with opportunity for additional OR access based on volume and practice growth.
• Robust administrative and clinical support infrastructure designed to maximize physician efficiency

• Call Coverage Requirements/Call Schedule:
• Shared 1:3 orthopedic call schedule
• Call structure designed to support physician well-being and work-life balance
• Advanced Practice Provider and hospital-based support available

In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

L - Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.
