Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in solid rocket motor ballistics to support our growing Solid Rocket Motor Engineering Team. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in internal ballistics, performance prediction, and propulsion system modeling, along with familiarity in industry-standard analysis tools. In this role, you will perform detailed ballistic analyses of SRM components, collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams, interface with customers, and provide technical leadership across the program.This is a full-time position with a 9/80 schedule. Remote work is available, or candidates may work onsite at our Huntsville, AL, Niceville FL, or Hampton, AR facilities. Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experienceDiscipline/Major: Engineering degree requiredCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
