Position SummaryAs a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. You will be responsible for performing complex accounting tasks, supporting month-ed and year-end close processes, and assisting with financial analysis.What is great about working for Foundation? How about massages, laundry service, monthly car washes, catered lunches Wednesdays and a monthly happy hour - we offer all this and more!Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesPerform and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisSupport the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate resultsPrepare journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and other required adjustmentsMaintain and reconcile balance sheet accountsAssist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packagesSupport external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiriesPartner with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Operations, and Sales to provide financial insightIdentify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance accounting accuracyAssist with implementing new accounting policies, systems, and tools as neededAll other duties as assignedRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required2+ years of progressive accounting experience requiredCPA certification preferred (active or in progress)Strong understanding of GAAP and general corporate accounting practicesExperience with NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce preferredExperience with accounting for payroll companies is a plusAdvanced proficiency in Excel; comfortable with large data sets and complex formulasOther employee rewards include tickets to Cleveland sporting events, a variety of lunch and learns, and various employee-appreciation events throughout the year.
