About the Role The Advanced Practice Provider functions in the role of clinician, consultant, educator, researcher, and serves as a resource to the physicians. Under the supervision of a physician, coordinates clinical services to provide consistent quality of care for patients in the healthcare setting and is responsible for providing evaluation and management of ENT services. Conducts physical examinations, provides treatment, and counsels patients and families. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care including histories, physical exams, diagnoses, and evidence‑based treatment plans Counsel and educate patients and families using clear, compassionate, and culturally sensitive communication Coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings to support continuity and optimal outcomes Order and interpret appropriate labs, imaging, and consults with attention to quality, safety, and cost Collaborate within a Care Team model to support high‑risk patients, care planning, and self‑management Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and workflow enhancements Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Required Qualifications Education & Licensure ENT experience is strongly preferred. Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program Physician Assistant: Graduation from an accredited PA program Active Maryland license (or ability to obtain) Current DEA license and Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider) Unrestricted license with no history of suspension or revocation Eligible for participation with all payers Skills & Experience Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence‑based practice Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR experience preferred) Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently while thriving in a team‑based environment Caring for you as you care for the CommUNITY Frederick Health offers a comprehensive and affordable benefits package.
