What You'll Do

• Provide advanced care for adult surgical and medical ICU patients, including neuro and cardiac cases
• Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation
• Handle CVL management, IV medication titrations, vasoactive drips, and epidural drains
• Monitor and care for critically ill patients with complex needs (e.g., stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, charge RN, CNA, and hospitalist staff
• Document care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support floating to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safety and quality standards

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana (or eligible for license)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience, including critical patient care procedures
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
• Experience with ventilator management, neuro patient care, and post-CABG preferred
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong skills in patient assessment, vent support, and critical interventions
