$85,000 Base + Overtime + Full Benefits Position Overview A growing and well-established organization is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its accounting team in Westhampton Beach, NY. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong general ledger experience who can work independently, manage month-end close responsibilities, and contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accrual accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and closing procedures, along with strong Excel and ERP system skills. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, accruals, and monthly account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes including trial balance review and financial reporting Perform bank reconciliations and analyze balance sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Assist with preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting documentation Support accounts payable, cash posting, and payroll-related accounting activities Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances Utilize ERP and accounting systems to maintain accurate financial records and reporting Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred 3+ years of accounting or general ledger experience required Strong understanding of debits, credits, accrual accounting, and financial reporting Experience with month-end close and reconciliations required Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Great Plains experience is a plus Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Strong communication and organizational skills Base salary around $85,000 Overtime eligibility with strong earning potential Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Stable, team‑oriented work environment with long‑term growth potential #J-18808-Ljbffr Totlani & Partners
