Executive Director, AI & Machine Learning

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Optimization, or Data Science, or equivalent industry/research experience, or an MS with substantial experience in the field.
• We need a strong background in NLP, speech recognition and analytics, or personalization and recommendation systems, along with practical knowledge of machine learning and deep learning.
• We expect hands-on experience with ML and DL toolkits such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas.
• We value the ability to design experiments and training pipelines, and to define and assess intrinsic and extrinsic performance metrics tied to business outcomes.
• We require experience with big data and scalable model training, plus strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We look for scientific reasoning, the ability to innovate, and comfort working both independently and in highly collaborative teams.
• We prefer a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, familiarity with financial services, and experience with continuous integration and unit test development.
• Additional advantage is knowledge of search and ranking, reinforcement learning, or meta learning.
• Experience with A/B testing, data- and metric-driven product development, cloud-native deployment in large distributed environments, and production-quality debugging is preferred.
• Published research in machine learning, deep learning, or reinforcement learning at a major conference or journal is a plus.
