Elevator Mechanic - Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance

We are offering sign on bonuses ranging from $2500-$5000 plus relocation assistance. We offer excellent benefits and above scale pay for qualified elevator mechanics. Job Summary We are currently seeking experienced and licensed Elevator Mechanics to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of a wide variety of vertical transportation equipment, including elevators, escalators, and lifts. Candidates must meet the specific licensing requirements for the state in which they intend to work. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and modernize elevator systems and components Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment complies with local, state, and federal safety codes Diagnose issues and perform necessary adjustments or part replacements Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent Respond to emergency service calls, including being on-call during off-hours Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients on job status and requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum 4-5 years of experience in elevator repair and maintenance Completion of an accredited elevator apprenticeship program or equivalent on the job experience and training Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprints, and applicable safety codes Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Skills CET (Certified Elevator Technician) or NEIEP Certification OSHA 10/30 certification Experience with both residential and commercial elevator units Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and tools (up to 75 lbs) Must be able to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods Comfortable working at various heights and in varying weather conditions Compensation Pay will be determined based on experience and licensure Overtime opportunities available Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr
