- Provides childbirth education to expectant parents.
- Responsibilities:
- Works with a team of educators to teach Childbirth education and other relevant curricula.
- Assesses varying learning styles, needs, and theories of populations served and develops population-appropriate curricula.
- Collaborates with Birth Center staff and providers to enhance the delivery of services.
- Serves as a resource to staff and to class participants to further their learning through referrals to community resources.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

- Certified Childbirth Educator
- Child Birth Educator
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of Childbirth Education training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provide. Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) or certification from the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) or certification of Childbirth Education from the International Doula.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
