Inventory Control Specialist

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Owego, NY for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite role supports a demanding production environment where accuracy and professionalism are critical. You will compile and maintain records for materials received, stocked, and issued; requisition supplies; verify incoming materials; inspect items; and prepare inventory reports while investigating stock discrepancies.

Required Skills

• Local to the Owego, NY area
• Ability to work onsite full time
• Ability to compile records for quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued
• Ability to requisition needed supplies
• Ability to verify materials received and identify irregularities in orders
• Ability to inspect articles and reject defective items
• Ability to prepare inventory records and reports and investigate discrepancies in stock counts
• Ability to perform with high accuracy and maintain professional, respectful behavior in a blended work environment
