This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. Are you ready to start a career in State Service? The Insurance Unit in the Operations Division, Driver Licensing Branch, is seeking a highly motivated, customer service and team-oriented candidate who is eager to learn! Under the direction of a Manager I, this position provides technical support to the public and field offices answering program related questions and coordinating assistance to insurance companies, field offices, headquarters units, and contact centers; reviews vehicle records using a computer and various departmental software applications to determine if a vehicle is currently insured; takes payments; and issues correct inventory.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
