A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Outpatient/Retail Pharmacist in Santa Cruz, CA. This role requires a strong background in clinical pharmacy and medication dispensing to support outpatient services and retail pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate prescription management while delivering exceptional patient care and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications in an outpatient or retail setting
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential interactions, and compliance with regulations
• Provide clinical advice and medication counseling to patients and healthcare providers
• Maintain patient medication profiles and ensure proper documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with state and federal laws and standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials to practice in California
• Clinical Pharmacist experience, particularly in outpatient or retail pharmacy environments
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, and clinical guidelines
• Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and interprofessional collaboration
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient pharmacy setting
