Labor & Employment Associate Attorney – Orange County Or Los Angeles

Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a highly respected, full-service law firm with offices in both Orange County and Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of employment litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on wage and hour class actions. This role offers the opportunity to work across single-plaintiff and class action matters, while also providing day-to-day employment counseling to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Litigate wage and hour class and representative actions
• Handle single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims
• Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
• Provide employment law counseling on issues such as leaves, accommodations, discipline/termination, and compliance
• (Optional but preferred) Assist with traditional labor matters

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Labor & Employment experience , with wage and hour class action experience required
• Prior experience advising employers on workplace compliance and risk management
• California Bar admission required
• Strong academic credentials and writing skills

Compensation:

• Base salary: $250,000 – $275,000
• Total compensation potential (including discretionary bonus): $375,000 – $425,000+ , based on billable performance
• Origination credit available for business brought in
